Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 T melted butter
  • 1/3 cup water
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Pop kernels and salt lightly and place in large bowl.

  2. In a sauce pan, combine brown sugar, melted butter and water. Bring to a low boil and continue to cook for 15 minutes, until mixture forms a soft ball. (Soft ball stage: Let a few drops of mixture drop from stirring sppon into a cup of cold water. Use finger to move drops around bottom of cup to see if it forms a soft ball.)

  3. Pour hot mixture over popcorn. Stir until throgouhly coated.
